Catholic Information Center

The Catholic Information Center (CIC) is a ministry of the Paulist Fathers in collaboration with the Diocese of Grand Rapids.  Our mission is to offer a deeper and more reflective awareness of the faith for those who are already members of the Catholic Church as well as invite seekers from other faiths or no faith at all to an understanding of the teachings and way of life of the Catholic Church. Our courses are offered in the welcoming spirit of the Paulist Fathers whose mission is to give the Good News of Jesus a voice in today's world.

The CIC offers a variety of programs for adult religious education, faith formation and spiritual growth at our Cathedral Square location.  Our programs are also live streamed and offered as video on demand on our website. Parishes may also have our presenters come to their parish using our On the Road program.

The CIC's three main goals are:

Evangelization – the preaching of the Gospel to those who have not heard it, invites all people to hear the Word of God and share in our Church life together. Further, the Paulist mission is to bring Gospel truth and the richness of Catholic tradition to the people, institutions and cultures of North America.

Reconciliation - the work of healing and compassion, calls us to reach out to our Catholic brothers and sisters alienated from the Church community; and calls us to respond to the wounds of society and the hunger for peace and justice. We recognize that action on behalf of justice is constitutive of the preaching of the Gospel.

Ecumenism – the search for the unity God wills for the Church, opens us to the spiritual riches and Gospel traditions of other Christian churches, and urges us to work with one another for unity in life and mission; opens us also to our unique spiritual kinship with the Jewish people; and to the movement of the Spirit in other world religions.
