For guidance about their participation in the democratic process, Catholics refer to a document called Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship As part of this process, we are encouraged to become educated about the candidates and issues, to dialogue, and to pray.  

Nine-Week Novena for the Legal Protection of Human Life

With this in mind, from Friday, August 3, 2018 to Friday, September 28, 2018, the U.S. Bishops are calling on all people of good will to pray that the results of the upcoming elections will move our nation closer to the day when every human being is protected in law and welcomed in life. In addition to the current invitation to fast on Fridays through the USCCB's Call to Prayer, participants are encouraged to pray one Our FatherHail Mary, and Glory Be for the intention of the novena.
