Aaron Sanders, new director of worship, joins diocesan staff Nov. 13

Headshot: Aaron Sanders, new diocesan director of worshipWe're getting ready to welcome Aaron Sanders, the new director of worship for the diocese! He begins his new position on Nov. 13.

Sanders will promote and support liturgical life throughout the diocese, helping people throughout West Michigan encounter Christ in a personal way. His role includes overseeing the coordination of liturgical and sacramental policy, diocesan Masses, working with liturgical ministers in all 81 parishes, and acting as a resource and spokesperson in liturgical matters for priests, ministers, the laity and the media.
Prior to coming to Grand Rapids, he served as the director of the Office of Divine Worship for the Diocese of Raleigh, North Carolina. His previous roles include serving as a director of liturgy, a theology professor and sacristan.
Sanders earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
