English Posting: St. Patrick Catholic School
in Portland is accepting applications for a teaching position
in High School English. The position as posted includes
English 9, 10, and AP English. This position also includes
at least one elective class possibly in media/communications
or creative writing. Knowledge or experience in drama is
also helpful.
The qualified candidate must have the current
State of Michigan secondary certification; they must be
knowledgeable of the Michigan Merit Curriculum in the posted
subject areas, and comfortable using technology as part
of the learning process. The successful candidate must be
able to work collaboratively with all staff to carry out
the mission of St. Patrick Catholic School. He or she must
be also be familiar with and be able to integrate the doctrines
of the Roman Catholic Church into the curriculum. He or
she must be of a character that models the values of Catholic
Secondary Schools.
Interviews are tentatively scheduled for
Thursday, August 28, 2008 with the position beginning September
2, 2008.
